Ajay advises on all aspects of corporate & commercial laws, commercial dispute resolution and white-collar crime defense. 

He has considerable expertise in acquisitions, cross border investments, takeovers & mergers, venture capital and private equity investments, shareholder disputes, insolvency proceedings and white-collar crime defense. He also advises foreign enterprises on their India entry strategies – subsidiary model, technology or intellectual property licensing, joint venture and franchising initiatives.  His industry experience is spread across sectors such as pharmaceutical, power, insurance, healthtech, real estate, e-commerce, manufacturing etc.

Ajay regularly represents clients in commercial and insolvency litigations and advises senior managements and corporates in white-collar crime proceedings. He leverages his experience as a transaction lawyer to formulate effective litigation strategies for eventual dispute resolution and for managing white-collar crime prosecutions especially in money laundering cases. 

Ajay works closely with a number of industry bodies catering to mid-market companies and start-ups. He is regularly invited to guide and train their members to assist them in navigating the legalities around their business. Ajay also contributes regularly to various journals and magazines on policy matters and legal developments.

Prior to starting Veyrah Law, Ajay was part of the corporate M&A practices of Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan, erstwhile Amarchand & Mangaldas & Suresh A Shroff & Co. and Khaitan and Co.

Ajay has recently been recognised by ‘India Business Law Journal’ as a member of ‘A-List’ for 2022-2023.
